May flowers

May has been a rainy month here in Western Australia. I think we had higher than average rainfall–a good start to winter after a very dry summer…

Not a lot happening on the flower front in the garden, but there’s a lot of new growth on the native plants, and all of the bulbs (irises, narcissus, freesias, ixias) are poking their foliage out of the ground. Won’t be long before the garden has a lovely spring-like feel to it (even though it’s winter here for many months to come). Lovely!
